Safety Can these patches go on turnout gear?
Not as standard. Protective clothing has fire-resistance requirements that our standard patches are not made to meet. For station uniforms, jackets, caps and bags they are the right choice; for turnout gear, ask us first.
Artwork Can you make a station patch with our number and motto?
Yes. Send the artwork or a sketch with the wording, and the proof shows whether the smaller lettering holds at the size you want.
Authorisation Who can order official service badges?
The service itself or its authorised supplier. We make badges from artwork the customer is entitled to supply.
Coins Do you make challenge coins for fire stations?
Yes. Coins are a long tradition in fire services, and they can come from the same artwork as the station patch.
Criteria What should I look for in a custom patch company?
Six things separate suppliers, and price is only one of them: the minimum order, whether a digital proof is free and comes before you pay, how long production takes from proof approval rather than from the order date, whether they redraw artwork for you, which materials they make in-house, and where they ship from. Ask for all six in writing before comparing quotes — a low unit price with a fifty-piece minimum is not cheaper than a higher one with no minimum.
